Mind & Body:
When staying at Villa Tranquilo the following words are used regularly by our guests:
peace,
quiet, silence, serenity, relaxing,
spirituality, calmness, meditation
We all need time spent in peace and quiet - away from the constant noise sources
that we appear to be surrounded by all the time in the UK.
The time to re-generate ourselves ready to face another year at work and generally
refocus for our own well-being.
No matter what your reason for staying with us here we sincerely believe that time
spent in the peace and quiet of our grounds will make you feel so
much better - why not give it a try?
We have increasingly found that guests who stay with us are interested in using the peace,
quiet and serenity to practice various forms of Tai
Chi, Pilates
and Yoga.
They have said how "facing the sun on a morning" has brought
a new understanding to what they have been trying to achieve.
Tai Chi is an exercise which embodies ancient China's
most profound concepts and principles. Practiced at a slow and
even speed, the Tai Chi form promotes relaxation, corrective
posture and good sense of balance while developing strength and
coordination.
Pilates is a body conditioning method that works
in a different way to other fitness techniques. Targeting the deep postural
muscles, pilates works by building strength from the inside out,
rebalancing the body, which will become longer, leaner and more
toned. Pilates will also improve your posture,
achieving the perfect balance between strength and flexibility
and it's also a great way to relieve unwanted stress and tension.

Yoga is an ancient Indian philosophy that teaches the union of
mind, body and soul. While there are many systems of yoga, Hatha
Yoga – the yoga of effort - is a physical discipline that
focuses on postures or asanas. By working with asanas and pranayama
(breath control), body and mind are balanced and united. It is
this harmonious and balanced state of being that is referred
to as yoga-a place where the mind and senses are calm and the
body and spirit are purified and cleansed. Currently, the term “hatha
yoga” signifies an approach to practice that integrates
several interpretations and styles |
